Rubber hoses for hot bitumen

02.03.2020

The loading and unloading of hot bitumen from plants to tank trucks or for dock service requires strong and safe rubber hoses. This is why hoses must meet the standard EN 13482:2001. The hose structures are built with metal reinforcements and a steel helix wire. They withstand a maximum working pressure of 15 bar with a 6 to 1 safety factor.

Resistance to high temperatures is one of the fundamental characteristics of these products: +200°C for hoses used in bitumen plants (Class B) and + 175°C for use on docks (Class A). A wide range of diameters completes the offer to satisfy all sector needs.

The hoses are available in coils but also in service lengths with fittings at the ends: swaged on and complete with lifting hooks for the road transport of bitumen and vulcanized for onshore use. Our safety information regarding the use, handling and cleaning of these products are essential for such dangerous applications at high temperatures.
