IVG Colbachini: always supporting sport, health, and the community

Yesterday marked the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, and today is World Health Day. These two occasions remind us how deeply the values of sport and a healthy lifestyle are embedded in the DNA of IVG Colbachini.

These values take us back to our founder, Daciano Attilio Colbachini, an entrepreneur and the first athlete from Padua to compete in the Olympic Games: first in Stockholm in 1912 and later in Antwerp in 1920 in the 110-meter hurdles. Colbachini embodied the purest principles of sport: passion, sacrifice, and determination. Today, the athletics stadium in Padua bears his name, a testament to the enduring bond between his legacy and the city’s sporting culture.

IVG Colbachini reaffirms its commitment to sports by returning as a sponsor for the Padova Marathon, scheduled for April 26, 2026. This event, a key fixture in the international running calendar, continues to stand out as an inclusive celebration, offering routes for everyone: from beginners with distances ranging from 1 to 10 km, to more experienced athletes.
