Opening the doors to the working world: educational internships

IVG Colbachini believes strongly in the value of hands-on training. That’s why we have welcomed high school and university students for internship programs. These are valuable opportunities to gain real exposure to the working world, understand its daily dynamics, and start building a professional path step by step.
An internship is also a meaningful moment to reflect on personal interests and make more informed decisions about the future.
In June, we had the pleasure of hosting three students from local schools: Nicolò, Sofia, and Silvia, each assigned to a different department according to their aptitudes and interests.
Nicolò completed his internship in the IVG Fittings Division, where he worked on the design and quality control of fittings, also producing technical drawings using specialized software.
Sofia explored the administrative department, gaining experience across the entire process: from accounts payable and receivable to general accounting and reporting.
Silvia was involved in the Human Resources office, focusing particularly on staff training related to system certifications.
Each student was supported by company tutors who planned targeted activities designed to enhance their individual skills and promote tangible growth, both personally and professionally.
We are proud to have contributed to this important step in their journey and to have guided them in these first experiences in the workplace.
