IVG’s LPG hose assembly is PED certified

Our LPG/CORD/EN 1762/D hose assembly has been certified in accordance with the PED Directive 2014/68/EU, issued by the third-party body TÜV Rheinland.
This important achievement places IVG Colbachini among the few manufacturers worldwide to receive this prestigious approval, the result of a complex and rigorous process.
What PED Means for Our LPG Hoses
The PED Directive applies to pressure equipment, such as the IVG hoses for LPG, which must comply with the Essential Safety Requirements (ESR) established by law.
By “hose assembly” we mean the hose complete with swaged on couplings with swivel or threaded flanges (male/female), made of carbon steel or stainless steel.
Risk Categories
PED defines different risk categories, distinguished by increasingly higher risk levels, which are determined by the pressure, diameter, temperature, and the nature of the fluid.
Here is how our LPG hoses with couplings are classified:
Diameter 13–25 mm → Lower risk category (Art. 4.3) → must be accompanied with User Instructions, which are also on our website.
Diameter 32–100 mm → Category I and II → must be accompanied with User Instructions and EU Declaration of Conformity, and must include the CE marking with the third-party body.
Why This Certification Matters
PED certification represents another step forward in guaranteeing the safety and quality of our LPG hoses, throughout all stages: from design to production, and final testing.
